We are pleased to announce a merger of our German operations with Maucher, Börjes & Kollegen of Freiburg im Breisgau to create a new firm called Maucher Börjes Jenkins.

By this exciting merger of German operations,

  • Jenkins expands its reach to Freiburg, in the technology-rich "Three-Country Triangle" at the corner of Germany, France and Switzerland, while

  • Maucher, Börjes & Kollegen, a premier firm in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany expands in Munich, the home of IP in Germany.

Capital of the Black Forest region and home to leading research institutes and one of Germany's top universities, Freiburg is in the heartland of Europe's bio and high tech cluster stretching to Strasbourg in France and Basel in Switzerland.

The merged German firm will be called Maucher Börjes Jenkins.

Felix Rummler, a partner of Jenkins, will join Henrich Börjes-Pestalozza as a partner in the new firm, dividing his time between the Munich and Freiburg offices. Wolfgang Maucher will continue as a consultant.

Clients served by our Munich office and clients of former Maucher, Börjes & Kollegen have been informed as to any effect this announcement has for day-to-day matters. Clients served by Jenkins in the UK and Beijing are unaffected.
