We are delighted to welcome three new members to the firm, Oliver Poskett,
Olivier Martinez and Matthew Yip.
Oliver graduated from the University of Bristol in 2012 with a First Class Honours degree in Physics. In his final year he worked with Siemens AG to research the effects of acoustic lubrication upon cryogenic superconducting environment internal to an MRI scanner.
Olivier entered the profession in 2010. He worked for a French intellectual property law firm before joining Jenkins in 2013.
He obtained a Masters degree from the INSA Toulouse (France) in electrical engineering. He further studied as an exchange student at the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and worked as an intern at the FER University of Zagreb (Croatia) mainly on digital image processing.
Olivier obtained a Masters degree in Patent law from the CEIPI Strasbourg (France) and is now training towards qualification as French patent attorney and european patent attorney.
Olivier speaks English, French and Spanish.
Matthew grew up in Hong Kong and moved to the UK for his higher education, graduating from Christ's College, University of Cambridge with first-class honours in Natural Sciences, and an MMath, specialising in Physics. Subsequently, he received a full scholarship to study for a PhD in Particle Physics at Durham University, during which he had the opportunity to work in Germany for three months, and also sat on various departmental committees as a postgraduate representative. Keen to seek new challenges beyond the confines of academia, he joined Jenkins in 2013 to train towards qualification as a Patent Attorney.
Matthew is fluent in English and Cantonese Chinese.
