The last six months have been busy at the European Patent Office. The rule changes discussed in the last edition of Patent issues came into force on 1 April 2010, and the Enlarged Board of Appeal (the highest appellate body in the European Patent Office) has issued three Decisions in short succession.

In this edition of Patent issues, our headline articles give some practical insights into coping with the new EPO rule changes.
