Qualification:
- M.Sc. Applied Geophysics
- B.Sc. in Applied Geosciences
Overview:
Johannes joined the Freiburg office of Maucher Jenkins in January 2023, where he is currently working on his qualification as a German and European patent attorney.
Johannes graduated with a Master’s of Science in Applied Geophysics from TU Delft, ETH Zurich and RWTH Aachen University in 2018.
He then conducted research as a research assistant at the Chair of Non-Destructive Testing at the Technical University of Munich.
In 2022, he visited the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for a 6-month laboratory exchange. During his studies, Johannes gained expertise in geoscience and geophysics as well as civil engineering.
He is particularly familiar with non-destructive testing of concrete structures to find internal defects. His research focused on detecting cracks in concrete using a pulse generated by laser ablation to induce vibrations.
Interests outside of work:
Johannes enjoys working out, sailing, mountain hiking and golf.
